Supercar in Orbit

The more I look at these Supercar photos using the tiny 1/64 scale Johnny Lightning diecast toy, the more I want a larger version of the thing with a Mike Mercury figure in it. But okay, this'll do for now. Enjoy! Opa Fritz

Supercar Comic pgs 26 - 30 Last

Today we feature the last few pages of the SCarltoon Supercar comic and for fans of the show, these last pages have the beginning of an episode guide which supposedly is continued in another issue of the comic. I had received my issue as part of a bundle which included a whole bunch of Juhnny Ligtning Supercar's and never got around to tracking down further issues. Perhaps I should set that as a goal this year!. Enjoy!

Supercar Comic pgs 11 - 15

Here's the next few pages of the Carlton Supercar Comic. By presenting only a few pages at a time it's helping buy me a little time to get some things worked out for upcoming blogs. I want to do another space diorama but haven't figured out how to approach the project yet. Anyway, for now - Enjoy!

Supercar Comic Pt 1

The past few Saturdays have been devoted to a series of Johnny Lightning Supercars I bought as part of a set. Also included in the set was a Carlton comic from 2003 featuring a a nice little Supercar adventure with Mike Mercury and crew pitted against their arch enemy Master Spy. But more importantly, the last few pages were devoted to a summary of all Supercar episodes and includes the director, plot narrative, and comments for each episode. Here's the first few pages. Enjoy!

Johnny Lightning Supercar - Condor Version

Today is the last of our Johnny Lightning Supercar trilogy, The Condor version. Ok, I've gotta admit, this one is confusing to me. This all black version doesn't appear anywhere in the original series and I'm guessing it's the result of one of two things: 1) it appears in one of the Supercar comic books 2) it's strictly a marketing ploy by Johnny Lightning to push a different color scheme of Supercar. In any case it is still kind of neat and Toys & Stuff is glad to be able to feature it. Enjoy!

Johnny Lightning Supercar Classic

Last week Toys & Stuff featured the black and white version of Supercar. Today we look at the color version. This is what Supercar would have looked like if filmed in color. Speaking of which, when I was watching the series DVD's one of my co-workers - a big Supercar fan - kept asking me if  the episodes were in color. I would watch a few shows and report 'no go'. The first season ended, still with all the shows in black and white. The second season ended the same way. By the time I was finished watching everthing it became somewhat of a disappointment because NONE of the episodes were in color - bummer!  Now, here's a cool tidbit. As I was sitting here writing this post I wanted to refer to the the DVD box for some information but couldn't find it - arrrrgh! (Now where the heck did I put that thing???) BUT I found a DVD I didn't even realize I had, "Full Boost Vertical, The Supercar Story"!! A two disc documentary on  the show with lots of cool stuff. Looks like a future blog post to me :-) Okay, back to the toy. This color version differs from the black and white version in one other way as well - the wings are extended. The B&W version reflects the wings as they would appear retracted into the fuselage. So, without further ado - we present the wings-extended, color version of Supercar. Enjoy!

Supercar was outfitted with remote control capability and so here it is without pilot Mike Mercury.
