Cragstan 1911 Maxwell Roadster

Okay, it's fair to say I'm on car kick this year! We have a nifty plastic car from Cragstan today and it's another retail outlet premium. I have so many toys sold as premiums from fast food joints like Micky D's, Burger King, Subway and other toys from gas/filling station which haven't yet been posted. Here's a premium that was available from Union 76 service stations up in British Colombia and Alberta and made by Cragstan. We've posted Cragstan vehicles before but they were all tin and you may associate Cragstan with tin but in the '60s companies were as a general rule moving totally away from metal and producing in plastic, but I'm not sure though if this is a '60s toy or a '70s toy. This toy is approximately 1/32 scale and measures 4 1/4" (10.8cm) L x  1 15/16" (4.9cm) . W 2 1/8" (5.4cm) H. Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina

Cragstan No. 20330 Action Fire Dept Set

Here's a terrific set for Fire Engine and Emergency Vehicle Friday: the  Cragstan No. 20330 Action Fire Dept Set from...? I'm guessing it was made in the late '50s but could also be '60s. Without a catalog reference to go by it's hard to tell.  The building measures 9 5/8" (24.4cm) W x 6 7/8" (17.5cm) D x 3 1/8" (7.9cm) H and has two stalls. The stall doors stay closed (more or less) until a lever on the back of the building is pressed and two spring loaded arms launch the fire engines on their mission. Somewhere in The Cave I do have a second fire engine but it make an appearance for this photo shoot - sorry! Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina
