Triang SpaceX Tractor T-5 (Golden Astronaut Terrain Tiger Substitute)

Like I said in yesterday's post, the first three postings of the Triang SpaceX STAGE ONE, EARTH BASE, series will be Golden Astronaut vehicles. The original Tractor T-5 was issued in red, however, Paul Vreede, in his SpaceX central website, did mention that the yellow tractor was a later color offering and would have looked just like this one except that the peel-&-stick appliqué would read "TRACTOR T-5". The Tractor measures  2 1/2" (6.35cm) L x 1 1/2" (3.81cm) W x 1 1/4" (3.17cm) H. Possible orginis for the design of this small vehicle can be found on SpaceX Central. Once I begin to cover the actual Golden Astronaut series I'll post more photos of this little guy. Until then - Enjoy! Opa Fritz

Here's the card back from the Helicopter P-3 showing what the original issue Tractor T-5 would have looked like

Banner U.S. Army Tractor - OD HP

Here's another U.S. Army vehicle from Banner, a very utilitarian tractor. It's a tad bit larger in scale than the road grader we covered but still works okay along side the rest of the small vehicles. 3 1/8" (7.93cm) L x 1 5/8" (4.12cm) W x 1 7/8" (4.76cm) H. Enjoy! Der Spielmeister Opa Fritz von Berg :-) and Oma Bettina

To the left is the Pyro Steam Roller which we haven't yet covered

Banner Tractor - Blue HP

I thought I had posted this nifty '50s tractor by Banner back when the blog was started but I couldn't find it listed in my spreadsheet or by searching the blog. If it does in fact turn out to be a double post sorry! That being said w'eve been trying to cover some of these nice old toy vehicles from the '50s and '60s lately and me personally, I've had fun trying to remember if I had any of these as a kid. When it comes to the Banner toys quite frankly I just don't recall having these as a kid but I'm having fun getting them now. I hope to have some Processed Plastic cars and trucks ready to post before long as well as the complete American Dimestore series of cars and trucks which came out in 2005. Granted, toys from 2005 are not vintage but they were based on popular toy designs of the '50s so they have a distinct vintage 'feel' to them. Okay, let's take a look our Banner tractor in blue hard plastic (HP) from the early 1950s. Enjoy! Fritz and Bettina Berg
