I always liked cereal premiums as a kid. You know, those nifty little plastic toys that were either inside the boxes or that you had to send for. The ones you sent for usually required one or more box tops as proofs of purchase, and a small amount of money, like 25 cents. Today's featured toy was a licensed tie-in to one of the 1960s most beloved children's films, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. In 1968 these came in boxes of Post Honeycomb cereal and were available in yellow, orange, blue, and green soft plastic and measured 2 7/8" (7.30cm) L x 1 1/8" (2.85cm) W x 1 7/8" (4.76cm) H. The wings were printed on the back of the box and had to be cut out. Often time those wings are missing but fortunately exact repos are available which what I have on mine. Enjoy!
