Here's a nice U.S. Metal Toy Stagecoach that was made as a coin bank, but is has no "U.S. Metal Toy" hallmark. One has to wonder why they bothered to put a slit in the roof with no means of getting the money out except to shake it or disassemble it! Like yesterday's stagecoach, this has a plastic hitch and horses, but only has a 4-horse team. Enjoy! Opa Fritz

U.S. Metal Toy Stagecoach with 4-Horse Hitch
I'm not saying I'm slow or anything but...
...yeah, okay, I'm slow!
Case in point: there were two U.S. Metal Toy stagecoach's just laying around out in The Cave for many years and I've only just now photographed them! I had gotten about half the photos taken when I noticed one of the original plastic horses had gone brittle and was literally falling apart in my hands as I was handling it and so I had to pull out a very similar horse and replace the original. I have seen photos of U.S. Metal Toy wagons with tin-litho horses but have only seen them for sale with these plastic horses. It may be that, in order to cut costs, they started making the toys with tin-litho horses but then outsourced the plastic hitches and horses. Aside from the issue with the horse, the stagecoach is nice and clean - no rust bucket here folks! Overall it measures 11" (27.94cm) L x 3" (7.62cm) W x 3" (7.62cm) H. Enjoy! Opa Fritz

Ideal 40mm Stagecoach - Yellow SP
As I go through these Ideal wagons, I've been trying to figure out which of my Old West buildings would be suitable for posing these with and taking photos. The MPC buildings, for the most part, are way too big - except maybe the large streetfront piece. Anywho, here's the yellow version of their 40mm stagecoach. Enjoy! Opa Fritz

Ideal 40mm Stagecoach - Blue SP
Ideal only made a few different styles of wagons in their 40mm line and all were very colorful as was typical of the era. This bright blue stagecoach measures 7" (17.78cm) L x 2 1/2" (6.35cm) W x 2 3/4" (6.98cm) H. These wagons have a removable top on them which often times simply does not fit onto the body very well, the tab on the hitch which fits into the horses belly is often times broken off, as is the tab on the hitch which attaches it to the wagon body - just a few things to look out for. Enjoy! Opa Fritz
