Unk Mfr - Child's Union Kepi (large)

Some time back I had purchase a child's Union kepi made by 'J' hats. While nice, it really needs to get some work done on it as it has lost its shape

This latest acquisition is in much better shape. There are no maker's mark anywhere on it so I have no clue as to who made it,. It has a nice form to it and the head band is still present just above the visor. This one is large, while the 'J' Hats kepi is small. Enjoy! Opa Fritz

'J' Hats Child's Union Kepi (small)

One of my most fondly remembered outfits was a Union Infantry costume. It included shirt, pants, hat, sword, pistol belt/holster, and pistol. I'm pretty sure I saw it listed in one of Sear's Christmas Wishbooks and while it would be totally awesome acquiring one like it, I figured this hat would do for now. It's not of the same quality of the original hat and the felt has gone shapeless over time but hey, it's still a really nice piece and I'm glad to have it in the collection. Enjoy! Opa Fritz
