Back on 30 Oct 2024 I posted this cereal premium still in its original packaging. Since then I decided to take it out, assemble it, and photograph it for the blog. I mean after all, when the Apocalypse hits, who's gonna miss this tiny piece of plastic! The saucer is 1.375" (3,49cm) dia. x 1.75" (4,44cm) overall length and the assembly is .625" (1,58cm) H. It opens up allowing some kiddie to perhaps place a 25¢ piece in it for safekeeping.

I loved cereal premiums as a kid, as well as the toys found in Cracker Jack! I posted a mint-in-bag premium the other day which was from one of the General Mills Chex cereals but I couldn't find out which one - Rice Chex, Wheat Chex, or Corn Chex? - or the accompanying box artwork. However, this time I found a copy of the box artwork accompanying this 'Rocket Prober' toy. Culled from the Internet years ago I have no idea who posted it. Cereal premiums tend to be small and these are no different. As a fatter-of-mact, these are smaller than most. As you can see by the GIANT spaceman posed next to the Prober, it's quite small. Enjoy! Here's a nifty old toy from the golden age of cereal premiums: a space patrol spaceship in yellow hard plastic from General Mills Chex cereal (although I'm not sure if it was Wheat Chex, Rice Chex, or Corn Chex). I've had this Chex Cereal premium for a few years now and always meant to buy one that was already out of the package, but whenever I do search for a loose one they're not available. Soooo, should I take this out and build it or leave it still mint in the bag? I do like these little gems because they remind me of the wonderful cereal box toys I used to get as a kid. I don't remember having this particular toy, but my memories tend to lump them all together anyway. Enjoy! Opa Fritz
