Road Champs 1/43 Scale Diecast 1953 Chevy C3100 Texaco Wrecker

Here's the companion to the Goodyear wrecker we posted back on 23 Sep, this one in Texaco livery. I've since sold off the Goodyear truck but this one is a keeper - for now! Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina

Solido 1/43 Scale Diecast 1940 Dodge Texaco Tow Truck

Another truck plucked from the storage box. I probably bought this when I was in my 'everything Texaco' stage of collecting. It's a really cool looking vintage tow truck, but it's missing the tow hook which originally came with it. Hopefully during the coming year I'll be able to cull and sell off all these loose diecast vehicles I ended up with over the past 20+ years. I do like them and all but they've become like weeds - popping up all over the place and overtaking valuable storage space. It measures 4 1/2" (11.43cm) L to end of boom x 1 5/8" (4.12cm) W x  2" (5.08cm) H to top of boom  Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina

Acme No. I-140 Texaco Tanker Truck

After trying to figure out what to post today I came across these photos of an Acme Texaco Tanker Truck and thought they would do for today. I couldn't find out anything about Acme as it's conspicuously missing from my favorite book on plastic toys: "PLASTIC TOYS Dimestore Dreams of the '40s & '50s" by Bill Hanlon. The truck measures 4" (10.2cm) L and like many plastic toys of that era, was made in a variety of colors. Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina
