NABISCO Sky King Cereal Premiums - Pt 14 (Final) At The Cabin (2023 & 2025)

After photographing all the individual NABISCO Sky King cereal premium pieces I gathered a few bits-&-pieces and cobbled together a ranch scene - albeit totally unlike that which would have been seen on the original television broadcast. Be Blessed and Relish Life! Ed

Two years ago I took a few shots of Sky King figures in a quick set-up utilizing an Auburn cabin, Marx fence pieces, and a cheap dollar store covered wagon. My take on it is: this is a cabin owned by Sky in the northern Arizona mountains, therefore no Arizona desert scenery.

This is the last photo essay installment of NABISCO's Sky King cereal premiums. I do want to buy a couple more figures to flesh out the color variations or replaced damaged ones, but that will have to wait for another time. NABISCO Sky King Cereal Premiums - Pt 11 Fury - Red SP

This red version of Fury is what the aqua version should be - well behaved. While the aqua Fury will not stand up on its own, ol' Red here does a wonderful job of posing for the camera without any assistance! Be Blessed and Relish Life! Ed 

NABISCO Sky King Cereal Premiums - Pt 10 Fury - Aqua SP

Here's an unusual piece. Fury is apparently a 'character' on the Sky King series which aired on NBC from 1951-1959, but I have no recollection of him. The website Fun Trivia mentions that Sky had a horse called "Yellow Fury" and that's the closest reference I can find (of course, if I got off my duff and watched videos of the show on YouTube I could probably find the answers!). To confuse matters a wee bit, from 1955-60 NBC aired a series called Fury, starring Peter Graves (of Mission Impossible fame), starring a beautiful black stallion. (As an aside, Penny had a pet white German Shephard dog called "White Shadow" which was, unfortunately, never made as a cereal premium). 

My particular sample is a bit problematic - he will not stand upright on his own. I've tried bending the tail (which has to be done carefully to prevent it from snapping off), I've bent his legs, and even shaved a sliver of plastic off the tail , but to no avail. For these shots I temporarily glued him to a clear plastic base. Be Blessed and Relish Life! Ed 

NABISCO Sky King Cereal Premiums - Pt 9 The Sheriff - Yellow SP

Okay, these are terrible shots! The figure is a much lighter yellow than depicted here but I was hoping that by adjusting contrast, brightness, etc. that I could bring out more details. Nothing worked and either the shots came out dark or were way too light. Anywho, here it is. Be Blessed and Relish Life! Ed
