BREWERIANA: Villeroy & Boch 2-liter Stein with Lid

Here's another big Bier Krug (aka beer stein) gifted to me a year or so ago. This large tankard features a decaled image of ??? - don't know who - some random Shakespearean era bar fly? And of course, like many steins, this too is lidded. It really is a nice piece and among the largest in the collection.

BREWERIANA: Parkbräu Bier .5l 'P' 1961 Oktober-Fest

This is the last Parkbräu piece I have to blog. I totally forgot where I got this from, but unlike nearly all my other Parkbräu pieces, which I acquired in Good 'Ol Deutschland, I believe this one was a fleaBay purchase.

BREWERIANA: Nellis AFB, NV 505th Test Squadron Beer Stein Ed '"ICE" Berg

When I was hired on as a contractor at my last squadron, the 505th Operations Sq., a very short time later (I mean like just a couple / few weeks later), the squadron was re-designated as the 505th Test Sq. It was then that I ordered the beer stein shown below. Our squadron was known as the "Home of The Rhino's", a nickname acquired some years prior based on their propensity for stubbornness and tenacity. I'll have more posts of squadron beer steins - when I get around to it that is. 😁

BREWERIANA: Gerz 2l Beer Stein / Bier Krug with Lid - 'Der Abschied' (The Farewell)

Wow, it's been six months since I posted any breweriana stuff. Here's big sucker - among the largest beer steins in my collection and a present from my daughter. You need a bit of shelf room to display this sucker! Be Blessed and Relish Life! Ed

BREWERIANA: 1l Beer Hall Scene Lidded Bier Krug / Beer Stein - Unknown Maker

Here's a nice Bier Krug / Beer Stein my daughter gifted to me last year. She got several nice steins from friends who were preparing to move out of state and needed to get rid of excess (I guess I'm the de facto junk collector in the house!). This stein measures 12" (30.48cm) H and while there is a makers mark on the bottom of the vessel, I failed to identify who it was. The vessel may be German or it may be French and the castle upon the hill may help to identify it as well - if I knew what castle that was!! Ein Prosit! Be Blessed and Relish Life! Ed

In photos where the lid appears shiny, that's the result of editing. The overhead shot near the end shows the correct patina on the lid.

I have no clue as tp what castle this is.

You can see the "1L" designation on the top rim of the stein.

The lid is not shiny, but rather has a dull patina.

I have not yet found the manufacturer this logo represents.

BREWERIANA: Berg Bräu .5l Bier Krug / Beer Stein

How cool is this: a beer named after me? 😁 I have to admit that this is one of my cooler pieces, I mean, what's the chance of coming across a stein with your name on it! My notes say there were no maker's marks on the piece which is apparently why I didn't take a photo of the bottom. Be Blessed and Relish Life! Ed

BREWERIANA: Gerz 1l Musical Bier Krug / Beer Stein with Lid

Here's another beautiful Bier Krug/ beer stein I bought at the Gerz factory seconds outlet. I have no clue why this would have been rejected and placed for sale at the 'seconds' store. The lid is just fine, the musical movement works like a charm, and the artwork is spot on. In any case, their loss was my gain - Enjoy! Opa Fritz
