Wondertreats, Inc, Galactic Warriors (2021)

This past Easter I picked up another one of these really cheap Transformer-like figures. These come in those ready-made Easter baskets that are packed with several cheap toys and nothing special candies. Although my first purchase was back in 2014, this is only the third variation I've managed to get since then even though I look for them every year. Last year, the one offered in the baskets was really large and wasn't to my liking. Then other years I couldn't find any at all or they were the exact same thing as I already had. As toys go, they look nice but they are very basic - cheap! The arms move up-&-down and they have a weapon and that's it - no more - but the designs are cool and they have potential for some fun play. This one is a bit taller than my other two and measures 7 3/4" (19.68cm) H x 5" (12.7cm) W. I'll have to figure out a fun little scenario I can photograph these things in. Wondertreats, Inc, No. KFSF0816-492 Galactic Warriors

It's been a few years since we posted a Wondertreats spaceman. These things come in ready-made Easter baskets which include the basket, some candy, and a couple/few toys. I have been on the look-out for newer looking spacemen but either the same one keeps popping up every year or all I see is the large sized guy - about 12" high or so. This year though we have a newcomer to the spacemen collection and he's called simply a Galactic Warrior and stands 5" (12.7cm)  H x 3 1/4" (9.52cm) w. These things, while looking like a Transformer, don't have much articulation. The arms raise and lower - that's it. While this year's figure only has one weapon, he does have a light in his chest which lights up ehrn a button on his back is pressed. These are really simple toys and I do like the looks of them and hopefully Wondertreats will have more variety in the future. Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina.

Having Fun With Kinder Surprise Egg Tecnatures

Thanx to Moonbase Central blogger Bill Bulloch, I managed to get a complete set of the Kinder Egg Tecnature figures from eBay and decided to have a little photo fun with them. I posed them along with the Transformer-like toy from Wondertreats I got on sale some months back and voilà, a harried space parent

Wondertreats, Inc. Ray Gun Water Pistol

I got kind of busy today and almost forgot to make a post. Saturday's are normally reserved for Sci-Fi and Fantasy but I really din't have much prepared until looking through some of my files. Back on May 5th I blogged a cool - and cheap - Transformer-ish Robot from Wondertreats. The toy came in a kiddie Easter basket on sale after the holiday which also included a couple of other toys, one of which was this ray gun water pistol, or squirt gun as we called them when I was a young 'un. Gosh, I haven't owned a squirt gun since, ummmm, oh heck, I don't have enough fingers and toes to count the years! :-) Normally ray guns don't stay in my collection long and except for perhaps a couple of vintage types, they just don't appeal to my collecting instincts. This one too will eventually end up at the thrift store for some kid to enjoy but for now you can Enjoy!

Wondertreats, Inc Galaxy Defender Robot - aka Really Cheap Space Toy

I was lookin' over the post-Easter candy sales (keeping an eye out for the chocolates!) when, after a quick glance at the baskets, I saw one of those ready-made baskets with this in it. I din't really look at what else was in the thing but for $2.77 thought it couldn't hurt to buy it. The basket contained a sun cap (too small and too bright for me), a measly 3 sample packs of candy (3!! - cheap skates), 3 toys, and of course the basket itself. This Transformer-like (Transformerish?) robot was kind of neat although it is a tad sparse on the whole moving-parts front. The arms go up and down - that's it for movement. But it does have two weapons which peg into the hands making it a lethal adversary, albeit cheap adversary, for possible photo set-ups later on. It measures 5 1/2" (14cm) H x 4" (10.2cm) W so might be useful posing with other like-sized action figures. Enjoy!
