Lido Spacemen: 90mm Futureman Robot - Bronze HP

This robot was the last in a series of Lido 90mm spaceman 'portraits' I took last year. I really love the bronze color of this guy and he looks at home in that spaceship interior used for the photo. Be Blessed and Relish Life! Ed

Lido Spacemen: 90mm Futureman No. 2 - Silver HP

These shots of Lido's 90mm Futureman series of spacemen were done last year and there were a total of five photos taken: two were posted last year, one yesterday, one today, and one slated for tomorrow. I don't consider these as part of my 'Toyscapes' series, but rather something along the lines of figure portraits. Recently I took another batch of photos using different figures and those will get posted in the coming days (that is, if I don't get distracted again!). Be Blessed and Relish Life!

Lido Spacemen: 90mm Futureman No. 1 - Bronze HP

Good Grief! Last year, I done up a few shots of the Lido 90mm Futureman (Captain Video figures) posed against backgrounds looking as if they were exploring a spaceship. I posted two, then stopped!! I guess it's time to post the remaining photos! Be Blessed and Relish Life! Ed

Lido 60mm HP Troopers For T. Cohn's Superior Space Port - Pt 5 Pose 3 Metallic Blue

Given that T. Cohn included older sculpts from Lido's WWII soldier line in its Space Port playset, it's no surprise there would be an innocuous standing figure, however this one struck me as odd in that he is not standing at attention. He looks as if he's perhaps on guard duty and just chillin' in a relaxed pose. Enjoy! Opa Fritz

Lido 60mm HP Troopers For T. Cohn's Superior Space Port - Pt 4 Pose 2 Bronze

I got two of these Lido flame-thrower Troopers in bronze. Like all the other figures in my job lot, there was no helmet. When I get around to fleshing out the T. Cohn Space Port with all theses bits-&-pieces I've been buying, it occurred to me that maybe I could look for space helmets from other companies to use with these figures, that way they will have more of a proper space Trooper appearance. Enjoy! Opa Fritz

My job lot of Troopers

Two Lido adversaries face off!

Lido 60mm HP Troopers For T. Cohn's Superior Space Port - Pt 3 Pose 1 Silver

Here's the second color variation of this Lido Space Port Trooper recruited from their WWII G.I.'s. I do like silver spaceman and alien figures, and this one is cool. Sure would be great to find the helmets that went with these. Enjoy! Opa Fritz

Lido 60mm HP Troopers For T. Cohn's Superior Space Port - Pt 2 Pose 1 Bronze

Lido provided the figures and spaceships for the T. Cohn Superior Space Port, so one has to wonder why they provided these already outdated figures when there were proper spacemen available. I can only surmise it was to keep the cost for the playset down. All Lido had to do was design one cheap, clear plastic 'space helmet' to go with the existing Troopers and voila', instant Space Marines. As you look at these figures you can see just how crudely made they were, but again, they were very early plastic toys and the lack of detail was common at the time. Enjoy! Opa Fritz
