LOD Figure Set #8 The Magic of Christmas Santa - Pt 8 (Final) Reindeer

LOD did a great job with all of their sculpts for 'The Magic of Christmas' set, however, they only offered one pose for the reindeer so you end up getting eight of the same thing. They're beautifully done however and in no way does it detract from the overall desirability of the set. Enjoy! Opa Fritz

LOD Figure Set #8 The Magic of Christmas Santa - Pt 7 Sleigh

Here's some close-up photos of just the sleigh from LOD's 'The Magic Of Christmas' set. It's a nicely rendered sleigh of the type one would see in the northern States - not overly decorated, more utilitarian than the Hollywood glitz and glamour type sleighs - something Santa would actually use. The reins are made of plastic. The 'V'-shaped reign fits into the underside of the sleigh, while the two 'straight' pieces plug into the ends of it. It's a bit tricky to pose all the reindeer with this setup as their stiffness only allows the reindeer to be posed in a straight line.

LOD Figure Set #8 The Magic of Christmas Santa - Pt 5 Elf #3 and Wrapped Presents

I like this pose because the Elf is inspecting a toy, but not just a ball, or a dolly, or a drum. This fella is inspecting a large Greek or Roman Soldier (maybe that's where LOD gets its toy soldiers!!). Cool! LOD made two styles of wrapped presents: a square box and a round box, both of which are shown here. Enjoy! Opa Fritz

LOD Figure Set #8 The Magic of Christmas Santa - Pt 4 Elf #2

I said in a previous post that these LOD Elves are some of the finest Elf sculptures anywhere. One of the reasons is that they look like Elves - not midgets, not dwarves, not little kids dressed up as Elves. They look like an entirely different species. Another reason is that they are all doing something! So many Christmas Elf toys are simply small creatures standing around looking cute. Not LOD Elves - Santa's got them working!
