Jada #33832 1/32 Scale Fred Flintstone & Flintmobile (2024)

This diecast Flintmobile is a recent acquisition and a cool addition to the Flintmobile collection. Made by Jada in 2024, the set features a 40mm diecast Fred along with his diecast Flintmobile. The car measures 3" (7,62cm) L x 2.25" (5,71cm) W x 2.5" (6,35cm) H.

Try as I might, trying to get the lettering under the car was a bear/

The Idea File: Flintstones Doodles

I have some more Flintstones stuff I'd like to post but am not quite ready. There's a set which has all of the components photographed but I still need to set it up and take a video. That said, it's also 111°F outside where I need to set it up! Yeah, it might not happen for a week or two.

Anywho, I have some doodles I made based on the opening credits and other scenes from the cartoon, hoping these would be an inspiration for a future project. I s'pose I was bored when I did these, but will post them anyway to keep the Flintstones flow going.

Marx #4672 'The Flintstones' Playset (1961) - Odds n' Ends - Extra Barney's Car - Red-Blue

Barney's car is the toughest to find complete. Marx decided to include four small, spindly, easily breakable, and easily lost roof supports for the roof. As they are a bear to find, most of the time I just leave two of them off.

A few cars I cobbled together over the years.

This all-red version was included in the '90s era Ruby Edition Flintstones playset.

Here's a couple of screen grabs showing two different cars in Season 1. I haven't bothered to look at the entire series and record variations but I'm betting there's a bunch.

Screen Grabs

S1 E1 The Flintstone Flyer
This has all four roof supports and was probably the inspiration for the Marx version.

S1 E5 The Split Personality
The sporty version - no roof at all

Red-Blue v1

I had to use an extra yellow roof support to be able to assemble this.

v2

This one has three of the four blue uprights.
I could always use the blue upright from the car above to make this an accurate complete version if I want to.
