Japan - Linemar - B-58 Hustler

The first operational supersonic jet bomber to reach Mach 2, the delta-winged Convair B-52 Hustler was in operation from 1960 to 1970 when it was replaced by the F-111. Marx, ever wanting to produce toys mirroring the latest technology, especially aircraft, had it's Japanese Linemar division produce these little gems as a continuation of the latest and greatest in aircraft advancement. Marx also made a larger version with much more detail which now commands premium prices, but this little guy is generally more reasonably priced. It measures 7 1/4" (18.4cm) L x 6 1/4" (15.9cm) wingspan x 2 1/2" (6.4cm) H. Enjoy!

Japan Tin Ladder Truck

When I bought the Marx General Alarm Fire House featured two days ago, it came with two tin fire trucks made in Japan by an unknown manufacturer. Yesterday we posted the Rescue Van and today we''l look at the ladder truck. Unfortunately my truck is sans left front wheel but I'll keep it and perhaps a wheel will come my way some day. This is a pretty small truck at 4" (10.2cm) L x 1 1/2" (3.8cm) W x 1 1/2" (3.8cm) H (with ladder down) and works close to 1/64 scale. Enjoy Last Es euch gefallen The Berg's :)

Big Lots 2011 Christmas Cookie Tin - Post Office

Marx #4412 Glendale Station w/o Light

In 1952 Marx introduced it's largest train station, the #4416 Glendale Station with light and six 45mm soft plastic figures. In 1953 it was released as the #4412 Glendale Station sans light. This is a big Hunk 'O Tin measuring 20 1/2" (52.1cm) L x 11" (27.9cm) W x 4 5/8" (11.7cm) H. For the toy train enthusiast you'll need a fairly big chunk of O-gauge train layout real estate to accommodate this station, but it will definitely make a statement on your layout! Enjoy!
