This teeter-totter toy from Applause features an older Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm and may have been a tie-in to the later '70s spin-off The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show. As with the Dino in Flintmobile, these photos were taken eight years ago and I didn't record the dimensions.

These photos were taken back in 2011 on my old train layout. At the time I only displayed three of the five Hardee's figures on it and those are the ones shown here today. These figures would look great in a diorama, and the old Marx Flintstone houses are a great match in size to them.

It's hard to imagine a little girl without a phone and Hardee's delivers us Pebbles with a very oversized Stone Age phone.

Pebbles was 'born' in 1963 to Fred and Wilma Flintstone, and according to Flintstones Fandom, was originally slated to be a boy. Then apparently Ideal Toy Co. approached Hanna-Barbera and asked them to change it to a girl so that they could make a girl's doll from the character. Remember, this was still a few year's away from Hasbro's introduction of G.I. Joe and the action figure (aka doll) craze for boys. While Hanna-Barbera agreed to the change, they did eventually follow-up with a boy character - Bamm-Bamm Rubble. It's funny how in 2026, I still occasionally pick up a box of Post Cereal Fruity Pebbles or Cocoa Pebbles as we cycle around the various breakfast cereals we enjoy. And of course, there are still Pebble children's vitamins being sold.
