Here's the second generic American pose from FOV. As all the bases are exactly the same (and a bit large), it would be best to pop them off for use in a diorama. They're fine for table top gaming but beware - often times the figures have a hard time staying attached to the base. None of the figures I photographed for this series is glued to a base - they're all loose.

FOV designated these guys as 82nd Airborne Division - Normandy 1944. Okay. I'll take their word for it. Back when I was covering the figures from 21st Century, many of them had unit patches. However, should one choose to add patches to the uniforms, here's what it would be:

The actual unit patch for the 82nd shows two 'A's side-by-side the meaning of which is as follows:

"The 82nd Airborne Division was first activated at Camp Gordon, Georgia, in 1917 during World War I. Its original members came from all 48 states, representing a wide cross-section of the United States. To foster unity and morale, the division held a contest to select a nickname. Vivienne Goodwyn, a schoolteacher, submitted the winning name, "All American," reflecting the idea that the soldiers embodied the best qualities of Americans from across the nation."

Like nearly all my other series, the figures are labeled as Pose 1, 2, 3, etc. in the order in which I took the photos. I've identified 16 separate generic U.S. poses along with the five 'personality' poses that have already been posted here on Toys and Stuff. As I had the original box for this set and pulled out all the contents for filming, these figures were what was in that box.
