Here's a nice little hard plastic B-17 Flying Fortress, item No. 17, from the Renwal Manufacturing Co., Inc., made from 1945-47. These were made in a variety of colors and measured 3 3/4" (9.52cm) L x 5" (12.7cm) wingspan x 3/4" (1.9cm) H. The toy itself resemble Boeing's prototype, the Model 299 or perhaps the YB-17. You'll notice the waist position gun blisters which weren't utilized on the production models, and the lack of the spine stiffener forward of the tail. Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina
