TRAIN TIME: A Yank Does Hornby Pt 6 - Hornby O Gauge M Series Station Halt

As I started getting more and more into the British O-gauge clockwork scene it was apparent there was going to be another learning curve. In regards to how we name things here Stateside vs. what they're called over in the UK I kept seeing 'Station Halt' or 'Railway Request Stops' in reference to railroad stations and after making a quick trip to Wikipedia these are essentially what we would call Flagstop Stations. Trains do not make scheduled stops here unless they're 'flagged' by one means or another. Hornby, Meccano, Wells-Brimtoy all made nice stations of varying size and quality with some being quite substantial, however my goal was to keep things relatively small for my upcoming project and stations like what I'm posting today fit the bill nicely.  The station measures 9 3/4" (24.76cm) W x 2 1/2" (6.35cm) D x 3" (7.62cm) H. Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina
