Astronaut #4 is our first offering with a base. It should be noted that all the figures with bases in this series of photo essays have the 'MPC' logo underneath. He appears to be holding a Geiger counter, an instrument used for detecting and measuring ionizing radiation. Okay, at least that's my guess. It could be something else but Geiger counter would be in keeping with the theme and the times. Enjoy! Opa Fritz
