Here we are into the second Mattel Circus Act and I have to tell you that when I opened this up, put it together, and photographed it the first time, I was - how shall I put it nicely? - frustrated. The articulated figure didn't go together all that nicely, but I did manage to get 'er done. Posing him was problematic as well - he wouldn't cooperate and kept popping out of the base. In addition, the first set of photos were nearly all out of focus. Still, once everything was finished I ended up with a circus toy seldom seen - a trainer with his big cats. Enjoy! Opa Fritz
The unopened bags
The opened bags scanned for a bit of clarity
The insert
The trainer requires assembly. None of the dry transfer decorations shown here were of any use
Getting the trainer to pose in this kneeling position was a bit of a challenge - he really doesn't like getting handled: he won't kneel all the way down, legs tend to come off, and he pops out of the stand far too easily
...still, he is a one of a kind circus toy so a little patience goes a long way to enjoying him for what he is
I took a lot more photos but these were the only ones that turned out well enough for the post
Of course an act like this would have been held within a cage but for play purposes to show what the Mattel set was like, this will do
