I'm still on that Old West kick guys and gals. I can't seem to let it go, but it's just been too much fun!
Here's a set I got a couple of years ago during the pandemic lockdown when I was bored as hell 'working' from home - that was total sarcasm BTW, as my job at the time couldn't possibly be accomplished sitting at home looking at a computer screen! Anywho, it's Nasta's Wild West Playset No. 2709 from 1980. When purchased, it was brand new with the contents still in their sealed plastic bag. The box was rough as heck but the contents were still mint. That changed last week when I cut the bag open and took a look at what I had. This first part will look at the contents, followed by posts highlighting the individual buildings. Enjoy! Opa Fritz
Set Contents (44 pieces total):
1 covered wagon
6 fence pieces
6 horses
5 bases for horses
4 carboard buildings
1 cardboard teepee
20 45mm figures (10 Cowboys/10 Indians)
1 playmat
A nice set of accessories
20 each 45mm figures total (one of the figures has a deformed arm - the result of production line error).
10 Cowboys in 5 poses
10 Indians in 3 poses
What I like is that the number of riders match the number of horses available - something a lot of Western playsets didn't do. Notice they're all in action poses - no figure just moseying or lounging about!
There are four buildings and a teepee. The buildings are packaged flat and need to be folded up into their box shape. They're a bit on the large size for the 45mm figures included in the set but hey, it's just a toy.
The generic desert terrain playmat measures 18" x 24"
