The backbone of any town is it's General Store, sometimes called a Mercantile or - as in this case - simply "Store". Generally the owner's name would precede  the word 'store'. These were often times one-stop shops for anything from canned goods, to nails, to flour, to clothing. Enjoy! Opa Fritz
