This playset has a ton of accessories and clever features one wouldn't expect to see on a toy ship of this size. Let's Take a look. Enjoy! Opa Fritz
Accessories
The obligatory treasure chest. This one is more appropriately sized to the figures than those found in some of the other sets featured here on the blog.
Th captain's table complete with map.
A handy way to hold the cannon balls. I believe there should have been eight but my set only had five.
Features
A hatch leading below decks
Operating anchor and winch
Two cannons on deck
Removable cannon deck. The rubber-band powered cannons slide back and forth, rotate, and elevate
Removing the cannon deck reveals the ships hold
The grated door is the ships brig (jail)
Four barrels of rum (?)
The rudder control is actually a booby trap. Pull it back and release and the spring-loaded mechanism flies back to knock the figure off the boat
This prisoner is in the gibbet - kind of like the penalty box, only harsher. A lever on the port side of the hull, raises and lowers the platform
The gibbet cage in-place over the prisoner
Walking the plank. Essentially, this ordeal was a death sentence for the prisoner (whose hands would be tied) and then forced to go overboard.
Dinghy storage
Remove the holding rack for the dinghy and you can access the captain's quarters
Better row quick, that shark looks hungry
