As stated in the previous post about this playset, it's a '90's iteration of Marx toys and as such combines Marx recasts as well as MPC and others. Let's see what the set has to offer by way of Marx repops. Enjoy! Opa Fritz
Wilderness Stockade
This bare-bones stockade appears to be made for smaller sized figures - around 45mm - but works okay for the larger 60mm figures which come with the playset. It's hard plastic and only has the walls and gate - no interior buildings or accessories. I'm totally unfamiliar as to what original Marx playset this would have come in. It measures 16 1/2" (41.91cm) W x 11 1/8" (28.25cm) D. The walls are 2 7/8" (7.30cm) H and the gate is 3 1/2" (8.89cm) H
Five walls have ramparts/parapets while four walls have nothing.
The parapets are narrow and the figures included in the set have a difficult time being placed on them
Figures
One bag of ten 60mm figures in seven poses is included. These figures were also available at the time as separate sale by Gayla Int'l and was posted a few weeks ago.
Trees
The ubiquitous grouping of Palm trees (and ferns) is included giving the set more of a Caribbean feel to it.
Alligator
While the box says 'Monster Alligator' it looks more like a crocodile to me, but at 10" (25.40cm) L it does qualify as a monster for this set!
