In the 3-rail O-gauge world, fantasy schemes are very common and K-Line's fantasy scheme for their Hershey's 100th Anniversary steam engine is, IMO, one of the finest schemes ever for a steam locomotive. K-Line utilized the old Marx #333 (4-6-2 Pacific type) diecast engine tooling and simply upgraded it with a can motor and air whistle in the tender. While they are good pullers and run quietly, K-Line steam engines are not good smokers. They simply cannot put out a really good stream of smoke compared to Lionel. In addition, the old school air whistles tend to sound weak and wheezy and are often replaced with modern units. I have left mine alone, leaving my set original. Be Blessed and Enjoy Life! Ed
