Modern Toys M.19 Battle Worn Tin-Litho Tank

Uh-ohhh, I feel myself getting distracted again! 😄

While I need to keep my focus on space-related toys - because, hey, I'm on a mission - I've been out in The Cave photographing some of my military toys. Specifically, there's a box out there which had a ton of small military toys from the likes of Marx, Ideal, Dillon-Beck, Banner, etc., - and this tank from Modern Toys. Some of the pieces in that box have already been blogged, but the majority have not, and to that end I've set my sights on photographing them and ultimately blogging them this year.

Okay, today's offering is a bit battle worn and I have to wonder why I even bought it, but heck it's been sitting in The Cave for years now so it's time for it to come into the limelight. The tank measures: 3.75" (9.52cm) L x 2.125" (5.39cm) W x 2" (5.08cm) H. It has a friction motor with only one set of main wheels (with one small bogey in the front) and may have been equipped with a sparkling mechanism - which no longer works. I'm guessing this tank was made sometime during the mid-'50s to mid-'60s. Be Blessed and Relish Life! Ed
