Dolgencorp LLC Police Rescue Boat #02886

The second of two boats I picked up at the Dollar General store near my house. This would have made for a great accessory had I went ahead with my initial planes for included a stretch of the Milwaukee River flowing through the downtown area of my train layout. As it is though, there just wasn't any room left on the layout for a scene like that. Be Blessed and Relish Life! Ed

    1. Hey Terra howz it goin'? Nice write-up on the boat. Have you messed with it anymore in the years since? What scale figures did you use for it? It appears as if 1/43 scale might work but as mine is still in the packaging I haven't bothered to try.

    2. Hello, the figures are 40mm high, they are from a 99¢ store and are clones of clones so shrunken 54mm. They match the boat scale perfectly. I live in Manhattan not far from the East River where the NYPD boats of similar look and color patrol. The model sits on a display shelf with a Steam Puffer and a Thames Sailing Barge. It hasn't seen any action since the swimming pool shots were taken. When my grandson who is almost seven visits our house in Connecticut he has started requesting videos be shot of his fighting toy soldiers with dinosaurs and monsters. We played three rounds of that over Memorial Day weekend. One game the sole survivor/winner was a Tyrannosaurus Rex. The next winner was The Creature from the Black Lagoon and the third a clockwork Godzilla, I'm hoping that in a few years we'll be able to play actual war games, US Civil War, WW2 even the English Civil War. Hopefully he will share my interest in history. (and toy soldiers)

    3. Cool Terra! Thanx for the info. Sounds like you and your grandson had a blast. I had a different grand child experience. With me having a grand daughter (who lives with us) I spent a lot of time playing Barbie's! LOL And here's the kicker: there's three other females in this house and it's the old man who always ended up playing dolls! "Opa, let's play Barbie's" Oh well, she's out of her Barbie stage now so I don't have to deal with that anymore! :-)
