In this post we're gonna take a look at all of the office equipment included in the early playsets. They were all molded in a hard styrene type plastic, in various shades of olive green or olive drab, and were a perfect compliment to the interior lithography of those early headquarters buildings. This time around all the pieces included in the office furniture group will be in one post, vs. being spread out over multiple posts.
As life has been quite hectic here lately, I never got around to taking photos of these pieces actually set up inside one of the Marx HQ buildings. Hopefully I'll get around to it in the next week or so.

Bench
3"W x 1.5"D x 11/18"H
This must be a later style bench - OR, perhaps meant for other playsets like Old West - because it has no back to it, nor are there any indications on the piece that a back was once attached, and then possibly broken off.
Rifle Crate
2"W x .75"D x .875"H
Filing Cabinet
1"W x 1"D x 2.125"H
Gun rack
(Oops, looks like I didn't get the dimensions for this)
Office Chair
.75"W x .75"D x 1.375"H
I've got three of these straight-leg office chairs and they all have one leg broken off!
Office Desk
2.75"W x 1.5"D x 1.5"H

Switchboard - No Antenna
1.5|W x .875"D x 2.25"H
The early style switchboard's had no antenna sticking out of the top. I assume the designer's felt that any wiring for these would go through the wall and up to the roof where the antenna would be located. In Battleground sets, an antenna was added.

I can't imagine one of these actually being set up outside on the beachhead or even in a sandbag emplacement, however, placing it inside of a troop carrier or halftrack would be more plausible.
