It's been a few months since my last 'breweriana' post so here goes.
Sooo, it's like ~2330hrs, Sunday, 2 Jan 2000 and I get off the plane at Seoul to be greeted by several of my new co-workers at the airport. I've been assigned to the 607th Air Support Operations Group (607 ASOG) at Osan AB, Republic of Korea and they've come to greet me and help me get 'settled in'. By the time we get to Osan AB there is a nice blanket of snow on the ground and I'm taken to the 'Crack House' (the somewhat inglorious name given to the ancient barracks building serving as Temporary Lodging Quarters - TLQ). By this time it's o-dark-thirty (about 0130hrs) and I have to be at the Group HQ building by 0600, dressed and ready to go.
There I meet more of my co-workers and by 0700hrs we are off to spend a couple of days on the road doing a subordinate unit inspection. Our first stop was Camp Casey where we were busy with the inspection (basically subordinate Air Force units of TACP, Combat Comm, and other essential combat support roles to the Army fell under our command and control). If memory serves me right, it was the next day when we drove to Camp Red Cloud for ??? I totally forgot why we had to go there but while there, we ended up eating at Reggie's, a popular on-installation steak house and micro-brewery! I believe since then it was taken over by another firm and is no longer called 'Reggie's. Of course you know I just had to get a souvenir glass and here it is!!
