FLINTSTONES Brand Multi-Vitamin Flintstones Car Promo (Toy Development Co., Skokie, IL) 1975

Now here's a really cool Flintmobile from a company called Toy Development Co., out of Skokie, IL. This was made as a promotional item for FLINTSTONES vitamins (which are still being produced!).    The car, as you see it in the third photo, comes nearly all assembled. All one has to do is attach the steering wheel to the floor, the roof to the frame, and the frame to the body. There is a rubber band pre-installed in the rear wheel which provides the motive power for the car by turning the stem by the rear wheel, and the instructions detail how to open the wheel up to replace the band. The car measures 4" (10.16cm) L x 2.625" (6.66cm) W body x 3"W (7.62cm) (when measuring out to the winding stem) x 3.25" (8.25cm) H. I wound up my Flintmobile and it rolled quite nicely across the surface. It could use a new rubber band but the mechanism does work as advertised.

Smaller rubber bands provide traction on slick surfaces.
You can see the winding stem just forward of the rear wheel.
