With all the hub-bub surrounding the holiday season over, it was my intent to feature this set right after New Year's day. Until...
...I got distracted (no surprise there). I started working on the Payton posts which have been running for three months now, and then started back in with The Flintstones. Okay fine, but I'm not going to let this Hogsmeade set from LEGO languish on the computer for years like I normally do. Let's get this sucker out there. IF I were to have enough room for a halfway decent permanent Harry Potter setup, I'd certainly love to do a nice representation of Hogsmeade Village. That way I'd have an excuse to run Lionel's Hogwarts Express through the countryside and into Hogsmeade Station. This set is comprised of two really nice buildings: Honeydukes and the Three Broomsticks Inn, along with seven figures and a smattering of accessories.
I had set this up for last year's Halloween display / train layout. The layout was rather sparse because I haven't yet gathered enough LEGO sets to really flesh it out. However, LEGO makes set #76457 Hogsmeade Village – Collectors' Edition with five buildings in it that would really help in fleshing out the village. Unfortunately, my town would end up being a hybrid with structures from Hogsmeade as well as London and whatever other UK location LEGO has to offer.
