Let's Chat: Play Along Toys - Aragorn vs. Lurtz at Amon Hen

I've got a bit of photo editing to do before the next Play Along Toys LOTR set gets posted here on the blog. In the meantime, here's a nice rendition of Aragorn fighting Lurtz, the leader of the Uruk-hai hunting The Fellowship, at Amon Hen. As the battle waged, Frodo and Sam ultimately made their way across the river and continued their journey to Mordor. Merry and Pippin were taken prisoners by the Uruk-hai and Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli took off in hot pursuit.

This Chat gave me a bit of grief. The first draft had Aragorn as being the same size as Lurtz, but we all know that he was shorter. Lurtz, a purely fictional cinematic character played by new Zealander Lawrence Makoare, was much taller (Mr. Makoare also played a couple of other characters in the LOTR trilogy). The second mistake Chat made was, when Aragorn was finally made suitably shorter, his sword could still be seen as a ghost blade, inside Lurtz. I finally took out the 'ghost blade' using Photoshop. I realize the image is not entirely true to the cinematic version, but with Chat, sometimes you have to take what you can get.
