Here's a nice Bier Krug / Beer Stein my daughter gifted to me last year. She got several nice steins from friends who were preparing to move out of state and needed to get rid of excess (I guess I'm the de facto junk collector in the house!). This stein measures 12" (30.48cm) H and while there is a makers mark on the bottom of the vessel, I failed to identify who it was. The vessel may be German or it may be French and the castle upon the hill may help to identify it as well - if I knew what castle that was!! Ein Prosit! Be Blessed and Relish Life! Ed
In photos where the lid appears shiny, that's the result of editing. The overhead shot near the end shows the correct patina on the lid.
I have no clue as tp what castle this is.
You can see the "1L" designation on the top rim of the stein.
The lid is not shiny, but rather has a dull patina.
I have not yet found the manufacturer this logo represents.
