Forces of Valor (FOV) / Unimax Deep Dive: Pt 102 Set #93305 (2008) German 716th Infantry Division - Carded Pt 1 Packaging and Contents

I said a week ago that I was awaiting one more set in the mail. Well, it finally arrived and the past day has been busy photographing the contents and editing the photos. I'm glad to have acquired this set because it contained two detail pieces (what I call 'smalls') that none of my other sets had: a goose, and a reel of wire. The figures are same-o, same-o though.

I'm assuming this to be a field radio even though I've yet to find any decent images on the Internet that look like this

Not seen in any of my other sets, I'm assuming this to be a reel of wire either for use with the field radio, or perhaps as part of demolition supplies

Adventures in Chat GPT - Play Along Toys Dark Rider (on Horse)

The basis for this image came from Play Along Toys AOME Warriors and Battle Beasts series from 2003. The inspiration for the image came from Peter Jackson' LOTR trilogy, Part 1 'The Fellowship of The Ring'. I think a good title for this would be 'The Search For Frodo',

New Moonscape Diorama / Display Board - Pt 8 Second Coat of Paint

This second coat of medium gray was kind of a wet-dry brush coat. Huh? What? Well, I needed to cover most of the first coat, but not quite. For that, the brush had to loaded with a bit more paint than what a total dry brush would require. Once the paint dried I set up a few of my Tri-ang Moon Base HQ compounds to see what they looked like on this thing.

The figures this Chat were based on is from Play Along Toys Armies of Middle Earth Warriors and Battle beasts series from 2003.

New Moonscape Diorama / Display Board - Pt 7 First Coat of Paint

Generally, I use up to five colors when doing scenery. The first few are always shades of the same color starting with the darkest shade first, then dry brushing on the remaining colors in succeedingly lighter tones. The last color is always white applied with a very dry brush (that is to say, nearly all the paint wiped off on a piece of craft paper, paper bag, or newspaper - whatever's available -  before applying the paint. This time however, as I didn't have a full compliment of colors available, I went with what I had: dark gray, medium gray, white.. The dark gray is the cover coat and it took a few passes to get all the little nooks-&-cranny's filled in.
