Some days back I said Bettina would be carrying the load of posting here on the blog because I was gonna spend some time scanning photos - gazillions of them. Ummmm, that project is on temporary hold because the scanner portion of my Canon AiO gave up the ghost. I'm not complaining though as it's already given great service having already scanned thousands of photos and documents. This whole scanning project has seen many starts and fits and this was only the most recent phase, but there's still a ton of work to do.
Okay, anywho, let's get on with today's toy post. A few days back we featured a really nice Hardy hard plastic horse drawn steam fire engine from the 1950s. Made by Hardy Plastics and Chemical Corporation during the 1950s, it was part of a series of horse drawn wagons which included an Old West Covered Wagon, Circus Wagon, Stagecoach, and Buckboard. As is often the case, the wagon's came in various bright colors. Our last wagon was white with red trim, today's wagon is red with yellow trim. All the figures and the pull cord is present on this one but the little metal bell and box are missing. Enjoy!
