Up next in our look at Sunjade Vikings is their Set No. 31. This is really an oddball set in that it contains items that simply don't belong in any bag of Vikings. There are eight Viking figures, two horses, a chariot, siege cannon, and weapons rack!
I'm no expert in Medieval warfare but really - a chariot?? Get real Sunjade!! Vikings also didn't tote around heavy siege cannons. Cannons were first developed in China during the 12th century and didn't make their way to Europe until the 13th Century. The Viking Age is considered to have been from the 790's until 1066 with the advent of the Norman conquest of England - two hundred years before the introduction of cannon's in Europe!! The weapons rack or stand is something that would have been used perhaps by knights during a tournament. Vikings would not have set up racks on the battlefield. Enjoy! This bothers me in that Sunjade threw in extraneous toys which didn't belong with the figures in the set - that's essentially a waste of money. In any case - Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina
