Here's an interesting accessory that has absolutely no place among a bag of Vikings: the Weapons Rack or Weapons Stand - or as I've come to call it "Ye Olde Wooden Thingy' :-) My rack had five separate weapons with room for more. This may have been used in jousting tournaments when the medieval gamers had to choose their weapons but has no place in a Viking setting. I have visions of Monty Python's gang hauling these out of longboats, setting these up on shore, and listening to the Chieftain say something to the effect, "Awright lads, a short safety briefing before we start the pillaging. And don't forget to choose your weapon before sacking the Monastery. Line up nice and neat if you will and no shoving whilst in queue please."
