Here's another unusual entry into the 'breweriana' posts: a clay or ceramic container that was filled with the euphemistically called 'Kirschwasser' (cherry water). Cherry water my sweet bippy! This was German white lightning with just a hint of a cherry taste to it! It was given to us by our landlord who said it was sold by his church! The label you see on the outside was placed there by the landlord but we got the bottle as a gift c.1990. The bottle of course is a modern era container of a type still in use by Europeans with the same type of lid featured on the Neuschwansteiner Bavarian Lager bottle featured a few days ago. Not being fans of hard liquor you can imagine it took us quite a while to finish this bottle - but offering shots of liquor to guests helped with that :-) Enjoy! Opa Fritz
