Here's the photo essay's for the engine and cars. This is basically a starter set with an engine and four cars, oval of track, and a small transformer. After buying the set, I took it for a few test laps on the layout in The Cave and several photos were taken out there. Enjoy! Opa Fritz
S2 Switcher
The real S2 type diesel switcher was made by ALCO from 1940-1950 and were designed as railyard switchers. K-Line's version is based on the old Marx tooling for their #1998 engine. K-Line substituted a new chassis and trucks
