The F-16 included in TootsieToy's Jet Flight Line set is a nice toy rendition of the plane. It is by no means an accurate scale model - it's just a toy. As stated in yesterday's post, the F-16 was only three years old when TootsieToy released this set in 1979. The colors on the toy barely resemble the prototype YF-16 vs. the gray tones found on the operational planes. The upper fuselage is diecast while the lower fuselage, wings, and landing gear are all plastic. Markings are a bare minimum - a 'star-&-bar' applique' on each wing - and it measures: 6.75" (17.14cm) L x 4.625" (11.74cm) wingspan x 1.875" (4.76cm) H. Yup, TootsieToy spared all expenses when they made this one!
