When I photograph light gray or white figures against a black backdrop, the ground level shots (the ones you see here) turn out okay - passable. BUT, the overhead shots always look like crap. The black background material turns into a sickly ashy gray hue. It's for that reason I don't bother with the overhead shots for these.
