This is not actually the final installment for the Marx Flintstones playset, rather it's the final look at the playset I have in the box in my collection. After this we'll take a look at some of the extras I've accumulated, and some of the color variations that you'll come across when collecting. This playset is screaming for someone to 3D print more pieces: more figures, more cars, more houses, just more!! I hope you've enjoyed this look at the Flintstones and the Town of Bedrock!

This setup certainly takes me back in time. This photo bookends this series of Marx's set #4672.

How I Did It
When looking through photos of how people have set up their Town of Bedrock, you'll notice some things tend to remain the same, while the positioning of some of the buildings and terrain pieces are open to interpretation.
Fred and Barney's houses are basically the only two buildings that tend to reside permanently on this side of the playmat.
Positioning the Gas Station here allows for cars to drive in and out easily
It may not be apparent at first, but that little area with the walkway around it is a pond - soooo maybe not a good idea to place a building right on top.

Even with the mix up by Marx as to which house was actually Fred's and which was actually Barney's, for me this is how I'll always remember them!
I grouped the Super Market, Snack Bar, and Filling Station together to form a business district
The extra house was placed next to the pond and is what I now think of as the 'Lake Cottage'. I normally place the figure with the hose by the gas station but, I have him here instead watering the lawn.
Critters everywhere. Marx included enough dinosaur figures to make this playmat come alive with beasties.
Quarry workers hauling supplies by hand.
I can't get over how that house on the left appears to be looking at something
