Eldon '155' Rocket Firing Cannon

I had Eldon toys as a kid and the one I remember the most was the 1/32 scale road race set to which I had added cars and track and accessories. But there were others as well. Unfortunately this cool cannon was not one of them :-( You can see from the ad below that this dates to at least 1958 along with their Sherman Tank and Tank transport Truck. We would refer to this as a Long Tom 155mm but back in the day Eldon just called it a '155' cannon. Okay. The cannon measures12 1/2" (31.75cm) L x 3 1/2" (8.89cm) H x 3 3/4" (9.52cm) wheelbase and had shells which were stowed away in the outriggers.. The bottom photos show it alongside some 60mm figures (none of which are original to the toy) for size comparison. Enjoy! Opa Fritz
