Imperial Toy Apollo Moon Exploring Set No. 304F

I don't know why but this is one of my favorite sets in the series. Maybe because there's already an abundance of weaponry or sleds or spaceships, it's nice to have a busy comm center control panel and radar array to help in the command and control of our little guys on Luna. It's origins can be traced to a set by Deluxe Reading from 1962 as shown on SpaceX Central. The dishes are the same ones utilized throughout the series but what makes this so cool is that busy control panel with all the dials and displays. I like! :-) I can envision the comm center set-up inside a dome, somewhat removed from the habitation area. There would be other gear, tables and smaller control panels and a busy crew to monitor it all. The comm center measures 4" (10.16cm) W x 1 1/8" (2.85cm) D x 1 3/8" (3.49cm) H. The MMM sled variant measures  1 3/4" (4.44cm) L x 1" (2.54cm) wheelbase x 1 3/4" (4.44cm) H.  Enjoy! Opa Fritz
