American Plastics/Gay Toys, Inc Bell 206A Jetranger (Army OH-58 Kiowa)

The Bell Model 406 was developed to meet a US Army requirement for an observation helicopter, attack helicopter support, and fire support. First flying in 1983 it wasn't until 1985 that operational units were delivered to the Army. Various upgrades have kept it in service with plans to maintain it until 2036.

I'm attributing this toy to American Plastics (formerly Gay Toys, Inc) but honestly can't be 100% positive. However, as Gay Toys Inc. changed their name to American Plastics in 1987, the time frame would be correct and I'm fairly certain this is not a TimMee Toy. The fuselage = 11 1/4" (28.57cm) L x 2 3/4" (6.98cm) W x 3 3/4" (9.52cm) H with a 9.5" (24.13cm) rotor span. Enjoy! Opa Fritz
