This header bag set of an Apollo LEM with figures from Blue Shield is fairly common, enough so that I was able to latch on to two for reasonable prices. As miniature space sets go it's nothing spectacular, a nice little LEM and six figures. The title on the header is misleading in that there is no Apollo capsule, but rather the Lunar Excursion Module. Included are six figures in two colors which are just a smidgen smaller than their Imperial Toy/LP counterparts. Enjoy! Opa Fritz
Typical for the period, all the figures are in flight suits rather than the bulkier moon suits worn by the Apollo astronauts
Here's a comparison shot showing the Blue Shield alongside the Imperial Toy LEM and figure
The figures included come in a silver-gray and yellow SP with the yellow figures being ever so slightly larger than the the others yet all of them are a tad smaller than their Imperial Toy/LP counterparts(some of my shots turned out a tad blurry but everything is packed away again and I don't fewel like un-packing and re-taking pics - sorry!)
(L) Blue Shield (R) Imperial Toy
This style of astronaut was my favorite in this Giant or 1/72 scale. The very best for detail were in a softer metallic grey plastic. I would have preferred more of those and suitable bases and vehicles to Major Matt Mason because of the vastly greater play options with tiny spacemen and any number of toy animals dinosaurs and the truly great vistas of even a small back yard.
