There were two different medium sized bugs as part of Horrible Hamilton's swarm: the Beetle and the Spider. The two are very similar in appearance but there are noticeable differences. The Beetle has a thick horn sticking out its head, while the Spider has a spine along its back. They're both powered by a pull-string spring mechanism, but unlike the Big Bug, these have wheels to propel them forward as the legs are cast into the body. The Beetle measures: 6.5" (16.51cm) L x 5.5" (13.97cm) W x 2.125" (5.39cm) H. Over the years I amassed four of these critters but only one is intact. However, several of them do operate more-or-less okay rambling across a few inches of the floor before petering out. Enjoy! Opa Fritz

How do we know which is which? REMCO labeled them as such on its packaging
